Yoga – My guide to holistic life

Ardha-chakrasana - Good toned up back muscles !Yoga as known by mankind is based on holistic philosophies that cover every aspect of our lives. I am a beginner to the teachings of Yoga.
I have learnt that Yoga is a science with a selection of techniques that bring about meditative awareness, breathing awareness, mind control & physical health.
My reasons for joining a Yoga Class are for general health purposes, and thus far, I have become more calm & more in tune with my body.
My Yoga teacher has always emphasized the importance of listening to one’s body.
She also explains the medical advantages of practicing Yoga. Being a Doctor herself, a comparison is always drawn to the benefits of Yoga in the medical world.
